CLSE has the ability to create, manage and execute influential hockey events throughout China and Asia.
The Montreal Canadiens Alumni and Montreal Canadiens Hockey School made their debut in China this January. Presented by CTC Group Ltd., CLSE provided all the logistics, ground support and event management to bring this one-of-a-kind hockey camp experience to young players in Beijing. For most of these aspiring young players it was the first time any of them had seen an NHL player in real life.
Our program kicked off with cultural activities, treating our Canadiens Alumni to a trip up the Great Wall (Youpi the first NHL mascot to scale the wall!), lantern making, and all the sights and foods the capital has to offer. Camps kicked into full gear just two days later along with press events, media interviews and a media reception hosted at the Canadian Embassy.
The Canadiens finished their tour with an appearance at CLSE’s 3rd Annual Beijing Pond Hockey tournament, hosted for the first time on the National Stadium grounds. Gaston Gingras, Steve Shutt, Mathieu Dandenault, and Patrice Brisebois laced up their skates against a game with the Beijing Expos.
